Private speedboat trip gives your group its own boat, captain and guide for about four hours off Hurghada. A typical route starts with a search for wild dolphins, continues with snorkeling at a coral reef and finishes with time on an island beach, but you can shape the day with the crew. Hotel pickup, snorkeling equipment, soft drinks and fresh fruit are included, for up to eight guests.
Important information
- Private boat: The speedboat is reserved for your group only, up to eight guests including children. The price is per boat.
- Flexible route: Tell the crew what matters most to you, such as dolphins, reefs or beach time, and they will plan around it. Some islands and beach clubs may charge entry or limit private boat landings.
- Wild dolphins: Dolphins are wild and sightings are never guaranteed. Never chase, touch or feed them, and follow the guide’s instructions when snorkeling nearby.
- Speedboat ride: Speedboats are fast and can be bumpy in choppy water. They are not recommended during pregnancy or for people with back problems.
- Sea conditions: In strong wind, the captain may change the route or shorten the dolphin search for safety.
- No lunch on board: Four-hour trips include drinks and fruit but not a meal. Eat before you go, or ask about a longer trip with lunch.
- Children: Children are welcome, and child-size life jackets are on board.
What to bring?

- Motion-sickness tablets if you are prone to seasickness

- Cash for island entry where charged, and tips
Who is this tour for?
This trip suits couples, families and small groups of up to eight who want the sea to themselves for a few hours. It works especially well for families with young children, who can go at their own pace, and for travelers who want to see dolphins, reefs and a beach in one short trip.
It is less suited to solo travelers or couples on a tight budget, since the price covers the whole boat. They may prefer the shared Dolphin House or island trips.

Full tour overview
Shared boat trips follow a fixed program with many other passengers. A private speedboat works differently: the boat is yours, it moves quickly between sites, and the captain can adjust the route to suit your group, the weather and how busy the reefs are.
After hotel pickup, you are driven to the marina in Hurghada, where your captain and guide are waiting with the speedboat. A typical four-hour route has three parts.
First, the boat heads north to look for wild dolphins around Dolphin House, about 45 minutes away by speedboat. If a pod is nearby and calm, the guide explains how to approach responsibly and you can snorkel at a distance. Sightings are common but never guaranteed.
Next, you snorkel at one or two coral reefs, with masks, fins and life jackets provided and the guide in the water with you. Finally, the boat takes you to an island beach for time to swim and relax. Popular choices include White Island and the beaches of the Giftun Islands, depending on what is permitted and how busy they are on the day.
Soft drinks, water and fresh fruit are served on board throughout. You are back at the marina about four hours after departure and transferred to your hotel.
The trip suits couples, families and small groups who value privacy and flexibility. If budget matters more, the shared Dolphin House trip and the island trips cover similar ground on a fixed schedule.
