Super Safari combines the main desert activities around Hurghada in one afternoon and evening. You ride a quad bike and a buggy, travel by 4×4 Jeep to a Bedouin village for tea and a short camel ride, and watch the sunset over the desert. The evening continues with a BBQ dinner, a traditional show and a stargazing session through a telescope, with hotel transfers included.
Important information
- Age rules for driving: Quad drivers must be 16 or older and buggy drivers 18 or older. Children aged 4 and over can ride as a buggy passenger with an adult. Younger children join the Jeep, village, dinner and stargazing parts.
- Stargazing conditions: What you can see depends on clouds, dust and the phase of the moon. Around a full moon, fewer stars are visible, although the moon itself makes a good telescope target.
- Cold evenings: The desert cools quickly after sunset. From November to March, evenings can be cold, so bring a warm layer.
- Health and safety: Quad and buggy riding is not suitable during pregnancy or for people with back or neck problems. Helmets must be worn and the guide sets the pace of the convoy.
- Dietary needs: Tell us about vegetarian or other dietary requirements when booking so the camp can prepare.
- Shared group: You travel with other travelers in a guided group.
- Children: Children aged 0–3 travel free and children aged 4–11 pay half the adult price.
What to bring?

- Cash for goggles, photos and tips
Who is this tour for?
This trip suits travelers in Hurghada who want to see the desert in one evening without choosing between activities. It works for couples, friends and families, since children too young to drive can still ride in the Jeep, meet the camels, eat dinner and look through the telescope.
It is less suited to travelers who want a long quad ride, or who prefer a quiet evening without a group dinner and show. The Quad Bike Desert Safari suits riders better, and the Jeep Safari suits those who would rather be driven.

Full tour overview
The desert behind Hurghada changes character through the day. In the afternoon it is a place for riding across sand and rock; after sunset, away from the lights of the coast, the sky fills with stars. This trip is built to experience both.
After afternoon hotel pickup, you are driven to the safari station. The guide gives a safety briefing before you ride a quad bike for about 45 minutes and take a shorter turn on a buggy. A 4×4 Jeep then takes you further into the desert to a Bedouin village, where you have tea, see how the community lives and try a short camel ride.
As the light fades, the group stops to watch the sunset. Dinner follows at the camp: a BBQ buffet with soft drinks and tea, then a traditional show. Once it is fully dark, an astronomy guide sets up the telescope and points out planets, stars and constellations, explaining what you are looking at. The Jeep then returns you to your hotel in the evening.
It is a full program of around six to seven hours, so it suits travelers who want to fit the desert into one evening. Quad drivers must be 16 or older, but younger children can still join and ride in the Jeep. If you only want to drive a quad, the shorter Quad Bike Desert Safari is a better fit.
