The dolphin show is one of the simplest family outings in Hurghada: a short transfer, a seated show of about an hour, and back to your hotel without a long day out.
After hotel pickup, you are driven to the dolphinarium, about 30 minutes outside Hurghada. The show takes place in a large pool with tiered seating around it. Trainers work with dolphins, sea lions and other marine mammals, including a walrus, through a programme of jumps, ball games and other routines, and explain a little about each animal along the way.
After the show, you can stay for an optional swim session with a dolphin, booked and paid on site or in advance. Sessions are short, usually about 5 to 10 minutes, and follow the venue’s rules on age, health and swimming ability. Photos and videos are also sold at the venue. You are then driven back to your hotel.
