Hurghada Jeep Safari

5 Hours

Hurghada jeep safari takes you into the Eastern Desert by 4×4, with a driver at the wheel so you can simply enjoy the views. At a Bedouin village, your guide introduces you to desert life over tea and freshly baked bread, and you take a short camel ride. The trip lasts about four to five hours with hotel pickup, and afternoon departures include a sunset stop.

Important information

  • No driving needed: You ride as a passenger in the 4×4 Jeep. This trip has no quad or buggy driving.

This safari suits families with young children, older travelers and anyone who wants to see the desert and meet Bedouin hosts without driving. It also works for couples and friends who prefer culture and scenery to speed.

Full tour overview

The Eastern Desert begins just behind Hurghada’s hotels, rising into rocky valleys and the Red Sea Mountains. Bedouin communities have lived in this landscape for generations, and a jeep safari is a comfortable way to see it without driving yourself.

After hotel pickup, you travel by 4×4 Jeep off the main road and into the desert, a ride of about an hour across sand and between the mountains. Your driver handles the terrain while your guide explains what you are passing.

At the Bedouin village, you are welcomed with tea. Your guide introduces the community’s way of life, from how families find water and navigate the desert to how they bake bread over an open fire, which you get to taste. You then take a short camel ride of about 15 minutes before returning to the Jeep.

On afternoon departures, the group stops on the way back to watch the sun set over the mountains. You are back at your hotel about four to five hours after pickup.

The trip suits families with children of any age, older travelers and anyone who wants the desert and Bedouin culture without a quad bike. If you want to drive, choose the Quad Bike Desert Safari. For a full evening with riding, dinner, a show and stargazing, the Hurghada Super Safari is the better fit.
